Effective September 18, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of bcspartans.com and your registration for programs, camps, tryouts, and other activities run by the BC Spartans (“the Club”, “we”, “us”), a hockey club based in North Vancouver, British Columbia. By using the website or registering for a Club activity, you agree to these Terms.
Registering commits you and your player to three further documents, each on its own page: the Waiver, the Payment Terms and Conditions, and the Code of Conduct. They govern what they say they govern, and these Terms do not repeat or override them. Each carries its own effective date; when one changes, the new version is posted on its page with a new date.
Program fees are listed in Canadian dollars and are taken through Square’s hosted checkout pages. Unless a program states otherwise, full payment is due at registration — we do not hold spots. Fees, deposits, cancellations, credits, and refunds are set out in the Payment Terms and Conditions; how we handle payment information is in our Privacy Policy.
Hockey is a physical sport that carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury. By registering a player, you acknowledge these risks and agree that the player will wear the required protective equipment and follow the instructions of Club coaches and the rules of the arena at all times.
Club activities may be photographed or recorded, subject to the consent gathered at registration. What we do with those images, and how to opt out or ask for one to be taken down, is in our Privacy Policy.
The content on this website — including text, photos, logos, and the Spartans crest — belongs to the Club or its licensors. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes; any other use requires our written permission.
You agree not to interfere with the operation of the website, submit false registrations or messages, attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or use automated tools to scrape or overload the site.
The chat assistant on this site is an AI tool, and it can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Treat what it tells you as a starting point rather than a commitment by the Club: fees, dates, division eligibility, and available spots are what the registration pages and your emailed confirmation say, and you can always confirm with us at [email protected]. A chat is not a registration and does not hold a spot.
What the assistant does with a conversation, and with any contact details you leave at the end of one, is described in our Privacy Policy.
The website is provided “as is”. Schedules, coaches, venues, and pricing may change; we will communicate material changes to registered families. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Club’s total liability in connection with the website or a registration is limited to the amount you paid for the program in question. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date; continued use of the website or registration after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
